About Dr. Heinrich
Dr. Christopher J. Heinrich began his career working as a technical writer formulating policies for a government contract. As the only individual in this role, he worked with a variety of military and non-military subject matter experts to craft and revise some of the nation's utmost important documents.
To learn and grow in his career, he ventured into the private sector to work for a national airline where he supervised a team of technical writers. Here, he had the opportunity to teach his craft and grow his team due to the fast-paced environment that the industry demanded. Once the team achieved success, he was appointed by (now governor of the State of Nevada) Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) to become the department's first technical writer. At the LVMPD, he worked on updating all of the agency's policies and procedures while also creating new policies that were necessary due to changing social and political systems in the local area and across the country.
Enjoying this work but also needing to balance his time with his family, he was offered and accepted a position as a governance controls and policy analyst. He is currently working on building policies and standards in the information technology and information security arena while also working as a postdoctoral fellow at Walden University.
Dr. Heinrich holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University. His research focuses on policy matters within the government and its impact on citizens and non-citizens. His dissertation, titled, "Far-right Extremist Influence on American Immigration Policy" examined the nexus between extreme, far-right ideologies and federal anti-immigration policies that were signed by President Donald J. Trump after being elected to office and how such policies shape the day-to-day experiences of non-White and/or non-Christian immigrants living in the United States. In this position, he is committed to understanding the complex dynamics of right-wing extremism and how it impacts American society and government. Through his research, he aims to provide valuable insights and recommendations for policymakers and practitioners working to address this important issue.
In addition to his doctoral studies and practices, Dr. Heinrich has strong professional and educational backgrounds in business, political science, and journalism. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Aviation and International Business from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he graduated with distinction. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Idaho and an Associate of Arts degree in Journalism from North Idaho College.
Dr. Heinrich's array of education and professional experiences fit well in analyzing, creating, and revising policies and streamlining organizational practices in practically any industry. He is dedicated to ensuring policies are thoroughly researched and written based on industry benchmarks while also being tailored toward the specific organization and its stakeholders.
